Hunter defeats Lords of the Wamphyrie in a Money Hunt

As told by Arod

We wamped 'em good, 774 coins to 457, in a six vs. six contest where many would have said we had a handicap: no healers on our side. However, borrowng heals was apparently OK, so we made out fine.

We split into three teams: Javelin+Arod, Katan+Rel'lim+Garibaldi, and Ainvar. J+A were to hit the nf and maybe the nef; K+R+G were to haunt the nwf, and Ainvar was to be our leech/interceptor. (May be wrong on some of these details, but Katan will cheerfully correct me if I am.)

Javelin and I swept through the nf like devils, and ran into a big pack of ferals that took us down a bit. We retreated south several snells, fighting as we went, and rested up a bit. Ainvar fell quite soon into the competition, and we thought for usre she was out of it, but I guess that turned out not to be the case.

Jave and I hit the nf again, making a full sweep, including the feral den. Then we dropped in on bears (How HANDY it is to hunt with a full PF? VERY handy!) and made a few coins there. We bumped into some Wamphs there who looked a little worse for wear. Then we hit the new bear cave and started getting 10, 15 coins a pop for hunney bears. It was in there we met and spoke with Noah, who was very nice and even donated a few coins to Hunter's purse by sharing with Arod and then killing a bear in the same snell. Silly Noah.

We headed out through the nwf, said hi to Katan as we whizzed by en route to the nf, where we pillaged all the way to the east side. Stepping through the new pf thingy there netted us a good 20 coins each, and we didn't have to step more than ten feet fro the exit back to nf to do it. Busy place. Next was south to e field, then east to e forest where we zipped south. The one wendy we found had a bad fur (dang!) and then the five minute warning hit, so we headed for the barn, arriving with no hu hu or interference whatsoever a good two minutes before the buzzer.

LoW: very sporting clan, quite nice and frankly in awe of Hunter's hunting abilities (well, DUH). So what's this do to our standing, anyhow?

Lord "happy as a clam" Arod

PS Katan was our Huntmeister, and he did a damn good job. Kudos to Katan, and all who were able to participate!
